Attendees

  • The party room can be reserved for a minimum group of 6 children, each over 5 years old (turning 6 years old).
  • For ages (turning) 6-11 there is a maximum of 15 painters, 17 total people in the studio, which includes 2 parents/guardians.
  • For ages 12+ there is a maximum of 20 total people in the studio, including any parents/guardians.
  • If adults will also be painting, there is still a maximum of 20 people in the room.

Party Policy (for ages 6-12)

*Children under 12 cannot be left alone at the studio. One adult from the birthday child’s family MUST be present at all times during the party and have access to emergency contact/relevant allergy information for every guest.*

Because our party room can get crowded and there are other customers in the studio, we ask that guardians of guests drop off their children at the event and then return to pick them up at the conclusion of the party.

Children 12 and over do not need to have a parent or guardian present. In either case, you must have emergency contact/relevant allergy information for every guest.

Timing

The time slots for parties are 1.5 hours, which is usually more than enough time for painting pottery and serving food.

An exception can be made for older children and teens that may need a full two hours if you reserve the last party slot of the day.

We need the ½ hour after your party ends to clean up and set up for the next one. Please tell parents that it is important for them to pick up on time.

We understand that there will be a transitional period when parents arrive, but if parents want to chat, they can do so outside the studio. We simply do not have the space for that many people inside the store. It is a safety hazard.


Food

You are more than welcome to bring food. We ask that you check with your guests about food allergies. We have a refrigerator and a freezer if you need them. The food table is set up at the front of the party room. We supply the tablecloth, cake knife and lighter for candles. You need to provide plastic ware, forks, spoons, plates, napkins, cups, etc. Balloons are allowed as well as party hats. Please no party horns.

If you are bringing food, we will serve it after everyone has finished painting and washed their hands. We do the activity first to guarantee that everyone has enough time to paint their pieces and to streamline the cleanup process.


Painting Your Pottery

Clay Dreams supplies the paints, brushes, sponges, and other tools. You will have one of our team members with you during the party to lead the activity and give instructions.

Your pottery pieces will be ready one week (unless otherwise indicated) after your party so that we have time to glaze and fire them. We ask that one person pick up all the guests’ pieces. We will have all the pieces individually wrapped with your guests’ names on them.


Reserving Your Party

To schedule your party, you can visit us in person or call us at 781 641 3000 during our open hours.

A $35 reservation fee is required to reserve the room. It is not refundable but is transferable, for extenuating circumstances, to another date pending availability. It can also be used as credit in the studio.

*Please note a 20% gratuity will be applied to your bill for groups of 6 people and up.

  • Party times are flexible. Please ask.
